Nuclear Blast is extremely proud to announce the signing of one of the most innovative Metal bands nowadays: NILE! Mixing Egyptian tunes with technical Death Metal elements and thus creating a very unique style, NILE rank among the elite of the brutal riff league, as masterpieces like "In Their Darkened Shrines" or last year's "Annihilation Of The Wicked" impressively show.

This is what Karl Sanders himself has to say about the new cooperation:

NILE: Start 2nd European Headlining Tour; Announce London Venue Change!!!!!
NILE has begun another European leg of their "Annihilation of The Wicked" World Tour. This tour will mark NILE's first ever appearance in Finland and takes the band back to many far-reaching countries for the first time in years.

Additionally, the NILE show on May 10th in London, England has been moved to the historic Scala in King’s Cross. A complete listing of NILE tour dates follows this message.

ANOTHER LEG OF THE ANNIHILATION OF THE WICKED TOUR

Nile has just returned from three triumphant shows in Japan and will head back out on the road On April 20th, 2006. The tours have so far covered the United States twice, Europe, as well as Australia and Japan. There are plans for South America, India, The Middle East and a further shows in Russia & Asia tba. ANOTHER LEG OF THE WORLD TOUR
World Management is happy to announce another leg in the Nile world tour of 2005/2006.

Nile and Swedish thrashers THE Haunted in a co bill with special
guest Exodus, will play the dates listed below in support of their
"Annihilation of the Wicked" album in February/March in Japan. The band is
looking forward to play with these great bands and to see their Japanese
fans again. This marks the second time for Nile in Japan, having toured
there on their last album. Nile has recently finished a very successful run
in Australia. The Band will first head out on their first headline tour of
America on the current record cycle. Last Spring's successful King Diamond
tour was a main support slot tour. There have been European dates, USA
dates, Australian dates and Now Japanese dates. World Management is also
exploring the possibility of Nile going to Russia, further Pacific Rim and
India and of course South America on this album making this a true worldwide
tour for Annihilation of the Wicked.

We wish you all a happy New Year and thanks to the fans for all their support.

Nile and World Management would like to thank all the great Australian fans who came to make the Australian tour such a great success. We would also like to thank the Promoters and Punchy Gonzalez our sound man / road manager who both did an outstanding Job. This was Nile’s first ever tour of Australia and marked several show with ticket sell outs. In addition World Management is happy to announce that the 30 Writers Poll from Sweden’s Close-Up magazine listed Nile at #7 for album of the Year. NEW WEBSITE UP!
Hey all!

As you can see, the new website is definitely up to commemorate the amazing new album, "Annihilation Of The Wicked". There are still a few sections that need to be completed so don't worry, since the reason they're taking longer is because they're going to be completey redone. I want to thank the band, especially Karl, for his patience and kindness in giving me the ball again this time. Thank you so much! As always if there are any questions or comments concerning the site, don't hesitate to email me. Hope you guys enjoy the site, and stay tuned for tons of updates (wallpapers, banners, etc.), it's gonna be one hell of a ride! Thanks!

NILE AT BERGEN'S METAL FEST VI
Nile and World Management are extremely happy to announce that Nile will be appearing at Bergen’s Metal Fest VI, in Bergen Norway on August 27th, 2005. This will be the first date on the upcoming Europe tour for Nile’s latest album “Annihilation of the Wicked”. It also marks Nile’s first time in Norway. Relapse Records recording artists NILE have announced a number of pre-release listening parties in support of their much-anticipated forthcoming release, Annihilation of the Wicked. NILE's Annihilation of the Wicked will be released in the U.S. on May 24th.

Special NILE Annihilation of the Wicked listening parties have been confirmed to take place in New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago and San Francisco. "World Management would like to announce that due to a last minute rehearsals with 19 year old bass player Joe Payne, Karl and Dallas have decided that he will in fact be the bass player on the upcoming Euro dates starting next week. "Hail Nile fans....

I'm sure you're probably getting a trickle of information on what is going on. I have decided to depart Nile for several reasons being personal and business related. There were some opportunities presented to me that forced me to make a life altering decision and something had to give, in turn was my involvement with Nile. I wish I could have both but you can't have everything. It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make cause I do love being part of Nile. I had to weigh out all of the options for my future and stability for myself. It will be something that I miss dearly and will never forget. I'm sure there will be rumors rolling around. I'm sure this statement will bring some clarity to the crap that some people may say.

For the time being I will be focusing on my own musical material at home where demands of my career will not have as much conflict. I never intended on placing Nile into a position of stress but like I said there are
several factors to this decision. I hope the Fans of Nile can understand that at some time in everyones life will come a cross roads to where you must choose to be secure and happy with yourself. I truly enjoyed my 4 years with Nile and hope everyone did as well.

I wish Karl, Dallas and George the best of luck and I am sure they will deliver what Nile fans desire cause they deserve it. See you all soon!!!!

KARL GIVES ALBUM UPDATE
"We are now finished with the Mixes on the new Nile Album - Entitled "Annihilation of the Wicked". We are extremely happy with the Mixes Neil Kernon gave the new songs, he has given us a very clean, clear and honest yet Brutal representation of our new material.

Now we are impatiently waiting on the last step in the process- Mastering. We hope to have the Album back in our hands by the end of this week, with a release date sometime around March / April to coincide with our support slot on the U.S. King Diamond Tour."

RECORDING UPDATE FROM KARL SANDERS
"We finished the guitar , bass vocal and additional instrument tracking at the soundlab in Columbia, SC with Neil Kernon and Bob Moore . It was an utterly grueling session, with every single day of those 2 1/2 weeks being a 14-16 hour working frenzy. The next phase will be to start mixing on Friday at Rax Trax in Chicago. We have 10 days scheduled there with Neil Kernon mixing/ producing.

Based on what we have heard from the recordings so far, this is easily our strongest work yet. There are 10 songs as well as 2 reasonably short intro/instrumentals , with total album time weighing in at a pre-mix length of 65 minutes.

We are seriously intense about these new songs, and can't wait for people to hear them.

Be prepared to be crushed"

ALBUM UPDATE.....
"We are home now, on break for the holidays - The drums are completely finished tracking, And George is on his way home to Greece. Actually we have been finished with drums for several days now, George finished ahead of schedule - but we have been laying very low these last few days resting and doing Holiday stuff with our families. All the drum tracks are sounding great, George did a fabulous job , the drumming on this record is incredible. All the fiendish rehearsal work George had done since October really paid off , and Neil has given him an incredibly clean drum sound.

The plan is to resume tracking on Jan 8 starting with guitars - and moving on to Bass Vocals, leads, and anything else."

BIG, HUGE NILE UPDATE!!!!!
Brought to you by Karl Sanders. And without further ado:

"New Album Update = Thursday , Dec 2

All the New Nile songs for the new record have been
"finished writing/arranging" for well over a week now-
except for the very last song - the big lumbering end of the world doom
apocalypse type Nile epic- which we finished Sunday nite.
From now until we enter the studio, we will be playing the songs over
and over , getting them insanely tight and full of Dark Evil Malevolennt Conviction. I can tell folks that so far , The band has really benefitted from all the long hours of rehearsal time we have put in every night with George - the drums are super locked down , which in turn allows Dallas and I and Jon to be cement tight - and I have not heard us sound this good in years.

Monday, George Dallas and I go down to start tracking drums with Neal Kernon and Bob Moore at the Soundlab . Jon will likely be joining us on weekends and evenings as his work schedule permits for drum tracking. We hope to have all the drum tracks finished by Dec 18th, when we will break for the holidays. The plan is then to reconvene in Columbia Jan 8th to track everything else, and then Mix at Rax Trax in Chicago.

"Hi folks, Karl here.

We truly and sincerely appreciate hearing from Nile fans - we really care about the People who follow our band and our music - but for the time being until we finish working on the record, we are short on time, and it grieves me to have to ask if folks could be a little bit understanding concerning emails to the Nile fanmail address -lately it as exploded with well meaning music fans writing asking all sorts of legimate questions. But reality is I only have so many hours in a day - and for the time being most of that time is utterly consumed with working on the new Nile songs/album , and doing what promotion I can for my side project..

The demands on my time lately are such that I can't possibly make full length replies to every single email - So for the time being , I would ask that if people are truly needing some question desperately answered , that perhaps they could find there way to the Nile forum http://www.nilechat.net there are many regulars there that know all kinds of thing about Nile, and most of the stuff I get emailed about from kind folks demanding an immediate response is usually either a tour dates kind of question , gear question , question about lyrics , or perhaps just a simple kind appreciative greeting for the band - stuff that would probably be just fine being talked about on the forum. If there is something that is just so important that the very foundations of the Earth are in jeopardy unless it gets a direct response from me, I will of course try to answer what I can, time permitting.

I will be posting updates here as we get closer to the commencement of actual recording , and hope to make occasional progress posts when possible.

Nile have hired George Kollias of Nightfall/Sickening Horror notoriety as the New Nile Drummer.

We would like to thank everyone that auditioned, sent videos and demos , and emailed us concerning the available position. We appreciate all of you. We would also like to thank Derek Roddy for his recomendation of George , as well many thanks to Pete Hammoura for being so helpful in so many ways.

TONS OF NILE NEWS!!!!!
Okay just got word from Karl about tons of stuff going on in the camp. So without further ado here goes!

Karl, Dallas, and Jon are currently deeply involved with writing new material for the followup to 2002's heralded "In Their Darkened Shrines", an early 2005 release date via Relapse Records is expected.

As most of you know, Karl has recorded a guest solo for the song "Xul" off the upcoming BEHEMOTH record, "Demigod". "Demigod" is scheduled for a late October, 2004 release.

Commented Sanders, "I have always held BEHEMOTH in musical high regard. The band is forging their own sound with originality, fire and brutality. I definitely wanted to play a solo that had feeling and fire, but also worked together with the riffs and rhythm section in a way that lets all of it work together to make a very dying, apocalyptic end-of-the-world melody. The Flame top 79 Dean V I used for the lead has a very thick singing type of tone, and the track just seemed conducive to let that guitar scream out in anguish. Many thanks to Nergal for making it happen."

BEHEMOTH guitarist / vocalist Nergal stated: "I've known Karl and all the guys in NILE for quite a few years now. Whenever we cross paths we always have a great time and get along really well. Moreover, I've always been totally astonished by their great works, precision, devotion and unquestionable originality. When I asked Karl if he'd like to put some solo on the album, the reaction was very enthusiastic. I handed him a rough mix of the song and next night I found this great lead part in my email box. It sounded TERRIFIC! I'm more than happy about the fact of his contribution. Thank you, Karl, for such an excellent gift! It is an honor!”

Titled "Saurian Meditation" , the album is described on the Relapse web page as "expounding on the mystical sounds and hypnotic passages that he often weaves within the music of Nile. Dallas Toler-Wade has also been busy , playing drums for Greenville, SC extreme metal band LECHEROUS NOCTURNE. Dallas is said to be "just as great a drummer as he is a guitarist/vocalist." The band are currently writing new material, and will be playing shows and demoing new material soon. Rounding out the group's lineup is Kreishloff (guitars), Chris Lollis (guitars), Hohenstein (vocals), and a session bassist to be named later. http://www.lecherousnocturne.com/

World Management would like to announce that Nile will be heading to Europe for a few shows this summer. Confirmed are HollandÕs ÒLowlands FestivalÓ on Sunday August 22, 2004. There will be also be a show in Belgium tba. Details soonÉ

EXECRATION TEXT PREMIERS ON HBB!
Relapse Records recording artists NILE will see their new video -- for the song "Execration Text" -- premier on this weekend's edition of 'Headbangers Ball'. 'Headbangers Ball' airs Saturdays from 10-12 PM EST on MTV2.

Taken from NILE's heralded In Their Darkened Shrines album, the "Execration Text" video was directed and filmed by acclaimed director Darren Doane (Deftones, AFI, Poison the Well, Kyuss) and shot at Center Staging in Burbank, CA.
